About Us

The Lake & Country Shopper  published its first issue in October of 2006 as an 8-page black and white tabloid size paper. Today it is 14 full-size pages, with four full-color pages.

Our offices are located near the Lagarto community about 60 miles northwest of Corpus  Christi, Texas.  Lagarto is officially a ghost town.

Originally intended to be merely a local advertising and news medium, The Lake & Country Shopper quickly grew into a full size monthly publication that includes state and national issues. . Many refer to it as a newspaper. Others refer to it as magazine because it is only published once a month.
